About IENE
Objectives & Goals
The Institute of Energy of South East Europe (ΙΕΝΕ) is a non-profit organization whose main activity is the study of energy matters and the provision of qualified information to professionals and to the public at large. IENE aspires to become the focus around which energy matters can be discussed, analysed, compiled and presented to the scientific-technical communities and to the representatives of social, business and economic life in Greece and SE Europe.
Structure & Organisation
The founding members of the IENE form the General Assembly of the partners, which meets at regular intervals during the year. This Assembly acts also as a Board of Directors which is responsible for all the vital decisions regarding the functioning of the Institute.
Management
The Institute's current executive committee, (whose term ends in June 2015), is as follows: Chairman, Mr. John Chatzivassiliadis, Deputy-Chairman, Mr. Costis Stambolis, General Secretary, Mr. Gus Papamichalopoulos, Members, Mr. Thomas Lamnidis, Mr. Alex. Vrachnos, Mr. Costas Theofylaktos and Mr. Dionysios Xenos. The Institute's Executive Director for the above period is Mr. Costis Stambolis.
Scientific Committees
The scientific work of the Institute is carried out through its various committees which have been set up or are in the process of being convened, and cover the various branches of the energy sector.
