«ERRA Training Course: Principles of Natural Gas Regulation» in Budapest

The “ERRA Training Course: Principles ofNatural
GasRegulation” will take place on
January 31-February 4, 2011,
in Budapest, Hungary.
The course will feature 5 days dedicated to the issues of natural gas regulation.
Course Programme:
During the intensive course the following broad themes will be
addressed:
- A general introduction into the gas value chain
- Restructuring the gas industry and liberalizing gas markets
- Gas infrastructures – regulatory approaches
- Gas regulation and energy policy issues
Course Faculty Team:
The Course is facilitated by the Regional Center for Energy Policy
Research
(REKK). Prof. Peter Kaderjak, Director of REKK was a Chairman of ERRA
and a
President of the Hungarian Energy Office. Course instructors are well
experienced current and former regulators and select utility
representatives.
Teaching method & environment:
Participants receive a vast array of documentation to support the
different
themes and modules. These materials include a training handbook, power
point
presentations of all course instructors, list of suggested readings and
reference materials. Personalized certificates are awarded to
participants who
successfully complete the programs. The distribution of time between
lectures
and exercises will be approximately 80-20%.

Target audience:
The Course is recommended to regulators, non-regulators such as ministry
